Aurona completed her undergrad studies at UC Berkeley as an international student from Xiamen, China. She studied economics and statistic before moving on to get a master’s in information systems and decision science. But what stood out to her from her years in college was all of the friends that she got to make her in the States, being invited over to meals at peoples’ homes, and being mentored by many people who helped her through the transition to America, and helping her to thrive in the middle of a fairly different culture here in the USA! After graduating, she got married to Daniel, and they became mentors to students from several different schools, including UC Irvine, Boston College, Gordon College, and Brown University. At the same time, they also got to experience several personal milestones in life, including getting a greencard, and more importantly, having their first child, Nico! She’s very excited to be helping out now with 4Corners - West, and will be happy to welcome any and all visitors with some of her sichuan-styled twice cooked pork, homemade Japanese ramen, and Korean kalbi-jjim!
