Daniel went to college at UC Berkeley as an international student from Taiwan, studying majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science while also doing research in public health. However, he also remembers stepping on to campus as an international student with no phone, no credit/debit cards, and no idea of how to get around or even find his dorm! Looking back, what served as his lifeline was older mentors who helped him acclimate to the new environment, make sense of a different culture, and also help him understand the Bible in exciting new ways! After graduating, Daniel decided to become a mentor himself - moving out to Irvine, California, to serve as a mentor there before also moving out to Boston to help start Reclaimer College Church. During his many years as a mentor, he also got his H-1B visa and greencard, got married to Aurona, and welcomed their first kid, Nico (Nico says hi!). He also developed an addiction to food, Sparkling Ice, and all things cheese. If you ever swing by 4Corners, expect him and Aurona to try to bring some good food (ie. tacos, ribs, MYO lobster rolls - or if Aurona cooked, good Chinese food / miso ramen)!
